BalaBali Kecak Dance

Please welcome: BalaBali Kecak Dance, a black theme which is inspired by the popular show of Balinese Kecak dance. Full and Lite Edition are now available in Nokia Ovi Store!

About Kecak Dance
Kecak dance is inspired by Sanghyang dance, a Balinese ritual dance for communicating with Gods or ancestral spirits. Created by Wayan Limbak, a Balinese artist and Walter Spies, a German painter in 1930s. Kecak dance is popularized by Wayan who traveled around the world along with his dancers. In contrary to other Balinese dances, Kecak does not use any musical instruments but involving many Cak dancers, wearing Saput Poleng (white black cloth), sits in a circle while chanting the word "cak" (English spelling: Chuck) and raised their hands. The story in Kecak generally takes the famous tale of Ramayana and involves main dancers who plays characters like Rama, Shinta, Ravana, Hanuman and Sugriva in addition to Cak dancers who just sit in a circle. One of the popular Kecak Dance show can be found in Uluwatu - Badung, where the Kecak dance starts at 18:00, combining the sunset and the beautiful sear panorama of Uluwatu hill.
